Security when you need it

A flexible alternative to permanent out-of-hours guarding

Not every premises needs an officer sitting on site throughout the night. Mobile security can provide visible deterrence, professional alarm attendance, safer opening and closing and documented property checks at the times your site is most exposed. Use one service on its own or combine them around the way your premises actually operates.

Technology-enabled mobile security

Technology that makes mobile security visible, accountable and measurable

Our mobile security operation is supported by innovative, market-leading security management technology. It connects our control room and mobile officers, helping SPS plan services, optimise routes, coordinate reactive dispatches, evidence attendance and provide clients with detailed reporting and meaningful performance information.

For clients, that means more than knowing that a visit was scheduled. It creates a clear operational record of whether a planned patrol, opening, lock-up or property inspection was completed within the agreed service window, alongside evidence of what happened during reactive alarm responses.

Planned services within agreed windows

Patrols, opening and lock-up visits and planned vacant-property inspections can be scheduled around agreed service windows. Attendance records provide evidence of when the service was delivered, helping ensure a 06:00–06:30 opening requirement is managed as that — not simply as a visit at some point during the night.

Reactive alarm response & dispatch

When an unplanned alarm or security event occurs, our control room can coordinate the response, dispatch the appropriate mobile resource and retain an operational record of the attendance, findings, actions and escalation.

Detailed, client-specific reporting

Reporting can be shaped around the information that matters to the client. Attendance records, incident detail, actions, exceptions and supporting photographs can be captured where appropriate, creating clear evidence of service delivery and follow-up requirements.

Smarter route planning

Route optimisation helps us plan mobile activity more efficiently across the service area, reducing unnecessary mileage and supporting a more efficient operating model. This complements our wider environmental and CSR objectives while helping officers reach planned tasks in the right sequence and service window.

Meaningful performance information

Operational data gives SPS and the client a stronger basis for service reviews. We can examine response performance, recurring activations, repeated site issues, service-window delivery and changing patterns rather than relying only on anecdotal feedback.

Evidence, exceptions & accountability

Where something changes on site, the record matters. Exceptions, incomplete tasks, access issues and other findings can be documented and escalated, creating a clearer audit trail for both SPS and the client.

Measured service creates better security

The value is not just proving that a task happened. By reviewing patrol and response information over time, SPS can identify repeat alarm activations, recurring faults, vulnerable periods, access problems and other patterns. That evidence can inform changes to patrol arrangements, site procedures, monitoring or — where appropriate — escalation to SPS Technical for engineering investigation.

Local coverage

A Humber mobile security operation with clearly defined local coverage

SPS is headquartered in Hull, where our 24/7 control room coordinates out-of-hours activity, with a regional operation in Grimsby. Mobile patrol and response activity is concentrated around our established Hull, Grimsby and Scunthorpe service areas. Wider coverage is agreed around the client requirement rather than presented as a one-size-fits-all national model.

Response to resolution

One group can respond to the incident and support the system behind it

When a mobile officer attends an alarm activation, securing the premises may only be part of the job. If the cause is a technical fault, a separately maintained system can leave the client waiting for another provider. Where SPS Technical maintains the system, the security and engineering teams can coordinate the next step directly.

SPS Technical provides intruder alarm, CCTV, access control and fire alarm engineering, including maintenance, repairs and takeovers of suitable existing systems. CCTV monitoring can also be combined with SPS Security mobile response where contracted, connecting detection and verification with physical attendance and technical follow-up.
