About the Role

SPS Security is seeking a reliable and professional individual to join our team as a Full-Time Security Officer in Grimsby. This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities across various client sites in the local area, including:

  • Shopping centres
  • Gatehouse security
  • Commercial premises
  • Industrial sites
  • Mobile patrol duties

You will enjoy this position if you prefer variety in your work and are confident in providing a professional, customer-focused security presence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Security Officer, your duties will include:

  • Ensuring a visible and professional security presence across assigned sites
  • Managing gatehouse tasks, including visitor control and vehicle access
  • Providing customer-facing security at retail and shopping centre locations
  • Conducting internal and external patrols
  • Monitoring CCTV systems as required
  • Responding to incidents, alarms, and site issues according to assignment instructions
  • Completing accurate reports, handovers, and incident logs
  • Supporting site teams with coverage and operational requirements
  • Performing mobile patrol duties when necessary
  • Protecting people, property, and client premises to a high standard

Requirements

  • Valid SIA Security Guard license
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport
  • Flexible availability for unsociable hours
  • Five-year employment history with no gaps
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to undergo DBS clearance
