Full-Time Site Support Officer – Lincoln

Lincoln, LincolnshireFull-time£12.71 to £14.50 per hour

About the role

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to join our operations team as a Site Support Officer in Lincoln. Since 1992, we have built a reputation as Yorkshire and Lincolnshire’s regional security specialists. As a family-run business, we pride ourselves on building long-term relationships with our team members—we aren't just looking for a body to fill a shift, but a professional who wants to grow with us.

In this role, you will provide cover and support across multiple customer sites in the Lincoln area. Because you’ll be working in different locations, you’ll receive comprehensive, site-specific training to ensure you feel confident and capable in every environment. If you enjoy a role where the scenery changes, you value clear communication, and you take pride in doing a job well, you’ll fit right in with us.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Controlling access and egress for staff, visitors, and deliveries.
  • Conducting thorough internal and external security patrols.
  • Verifying identification and challenging unauthorised access.
  • Responding promptly and calmly to alarms or site incidents.
  • Maintaining accurate logs, reports, and documentation.
  • Ensuring site-specific procedures and instructions are followed to the letter.
  • Providing high-quality, professional customer service at all times.

The Working Pattern

This is a full-time, permanent position. We issue monthly rosters in advance to help you plan your time; however, as this is an operational role, a flexible approach is essential. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements

  • Right to Work: You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is required.
  • Transport: You must have your own reliable transport to reach various sites across the area.
  • Background Check: You must be able to pass a DBS check.
  • Employment History: Ability to provide a verifiable five-year employment history.
  • First Aid: You must hold a valid First Aid qualification (or be willing to obtain one).
  • Availability: You must be comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and unsociable shifts.
  • Training: You must be willing to complete all mandatory site-specific training provided by SPS.

Why join SPS Security?

We’ve been keeping businesses and communities safe across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire since 1992. As a family-run business, we know that our reputation is built entirely on the reliability and integrity of our team. When you join SPS, you aren't just a number—you’re a valued member of a local company that prioritises stability and mutual respect.

  • A stable, local employer: We hold long-term, secure contracts, meaning you get the job security that comes with a well-established regional firm.
  • Supportive management: We’re a family business at heart. Our management team is hands-on and approachable, ensuring you’re backed up when you’re out in the field.
  • Clear progression: We prefer to promote from within. Whether you want to move into a different area of operations or take on more responsibility, we’ll help you map out your path.
  • Genuine development: We invest in our people. You’ll receive full site-specific training and ongoing professional development to make sure you feel confident and capable in your role.
