# What we stand for

These are the principles that shape how SPS designs, delivers and manages security services — for every client, on every contract, every day.

Eight core values 

### Accountability

Every contract has a named account manager. Every service delivery has a clear owner. When something goes wrong, we say so, explain why and fix it — we don't deflect or disappear.

### Reliability

Clients depend on us showing up, responding quickly and delivering what we agreed. Reliability isn't a selling point — it's the baseline. We take it seriously and measure ourselves against it.

### Regional commitment

SPS is a Yorkshire and Lincolnshire business. Our officers, engineers and managers are based here. We invest in the region, understand its businesses and communities, and have no intention of being anything other than a regional provider done properly.

### Continual improvement

We review performance regularly, take client feedback seriously and look for ways to improve — not just at contract renewal, but throughout the life of a contract. A service that worked well two years ago may need rethinking today.

### Transparency

We believe clients should have clear visibility of the service they are paying for. That means honest communication, accurate reporting, clear escalation, open discussion about issues and practical recommendations when something needs to change.

Transparency builds trust. It also helps clients make better decisions about risk, cost, staffing, technology and service design.

### Creativity & problem solving

Security is not always solved by doing more of the same. Some sites need a different staffing model, better patrol routes, improved CCTV coverage, stronger procedures, smarter access control or a better mix of people and technology.

SPS encourages practical creativity: looking at the site, understanding the risk, challenging old assumptions and finding solutions that work in the real world.

### Data-led decisions

Good security decisions should be based on evidence, not guesswork. We use reporting, incident logs, patrol data, service reviews, client feedback and operational insight to identify patterns, improve performance and support better decision-making.

A data-led approach helps clients understand what is happening on their sites and where improvements can make the biggest difference.

### Best value

Best value does not always mean the lowest price. For SPS, best value means providing the right level of security, in the right way, with the right mix of people, technology, monitoring and response.

We look for solutions that reduce gaps, avoid unnecessary duplication, improve accountability and give clients long-term value from their security spend.

How we add value 

Our values are not just statements. They shape how we design and manage security services. We aim to give clients clear visibility, honest advice and practical options. Where a traditional model is not giving the best result, we look at how the service could be improved.

That might mean changing patrol patterns, combining guarding with CCTV monitoring, using keyholding and alarm response more effectively, improving site instructions, reviewing incident data, or bringing technical systems and operational response closer together. The aim is always the same: a clearer, safer and more cost-effective security model.
